Mission 47
This past weekend we held the annual Cleveland Extravaganza Mission 47. On November 23, 1962, crowds, in the brisk morning air outside Cleveland Public Hall, formed lines around the block. Many students attended the NASA’s 10 day Space Science Extravaganza fair sponsored by NASA and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Public interest in the new space agency was high with the recent space activities including Mercury missions, planning for the Apollo, President John F. Kennedy announ

Cleveland Darter Club Members Shine at the 37th Frank Perrico Memorial Open
The Youngstown Dart Association put on its 37th Frank Perrico Memorial Open during the last weekend of February. We had so many outstanding performances from our Cleveland Darter Club members, one example of that being Chris Erkelenz throwing a 107 average leg, that an article on it was a must! If you haven’t attended this tournament before, you should definitely consider it for next year. It’s a great option if you’re just getting started outside of league play. Also, if y

A Topsy-Turvy Good Time Was had by All
Saturday, 2-22-2026 “Flip your aim, spin your luck, and let the darts do the talking!” – this statement says it all. Each round, the board’s numbers were in new places, forcing players to 'double"-guess themselves. Muscle memory and practice had players throwing at areas they shouldn’t be aiming at… without thinking. (Hey, Brian Beach, what are you aiming at? The 18's aren’t there anymore!) Tilting heads could be seen everywhere as players tried to reestablish their common g

WDF New Rule Updates
World Darts Federation Mandatory Marking / Scorekeeping Rule (2025 Update) What’s changed: Players are no longer allowed to self-mark their matches in WDF ranking events — even if both competitors agree to do it. A third-party marker must be assigned to keep score. How it works in practice: For WDF ranking events (the ones that count for global ranking points), every match must have someone assigned to mark/keep score who is not one of the two players competing .
