WHAT IS THE ALL STAR TEAM ?
The All Star team is a comprised of the top darters in the Cleveland area. The men's team is 24 players with 4 alternates and women's team is comprised of 12 players with 3 alternates! The All Star team will compete in the Quad City Challenge in Columbus, Ohio where the best steel tip players in Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati compete to see who will be crowned the best in Ohio until the next year. To be on the All Star team is considered the top honor for Cleveland Darters. We are the winningest city in Ohio and it is a privilege to be part of that legacy. Teams will attempt to play alternates, but it is not guaranteed.
How it Works: $10 a score
-
Phase 1 is to throw a qualifier score to try out for phase 2. Contact allstar@clevelanddarterclub.org to find where score keepers will be or follow the Cleveland Darter Club All-Star Team facebook page.
-
Women throw three 501 free in games and take the best 2 games and men throw four games with the best three scores used.
-
Phase 2-4 The top scores will be asked to join phase two where you will compete against other darters for a spot on the team. You will need to be a member of the Cleveland Darter Club to be on the All-Star team. If you make the cut on phase 2 you do not need to go to the next phases. If you do not make it on June 28th you can keep trying the next phases until you make the team or the team is full.
-
There are Youngstown Dart Assoc. and Lake Erie Dart Assoc. representations available to take your CDC All-Star score.
